The Concept
The Porsche GT3 — Light Research & Moody Grading project was conceived with the intent to explore an iconic car from a fresh perspective, going beyond mere engine power or its celebrated design lines. The primary goal was to create an intense, cinematic visual experience that conveys emotion as much as aesthetics. The choice of a neutral grey body color was deliberate: this tone, capable of both absorbing and reflecting light in a balanced way, provides the perfect canvas for experimenting with lighting and developing a moody color grading rich in subtle shades and delicate nuances.
The work began with an in-depth study of lighting, examining every detail: the direction of light, its intensity, and the quality of reflections. Each light source was carefully calibrated to emphasize the GT3’s aerodynamic lines and muscular forms, while maintaining a sense of depth and dimensionality.
